I love the way leaves glow in the afternoon light.
This is the same park where I found that mysterious spring tree. It’s truly a beautiful place and I hope to return soon with my photography camera.
Spring is here and it’s brought a rainstorm of blossoms with it. I’m loving the delicate colours and wild scents of this season.
As I was taking a stroll through the park a certain tree caught my eye. It was clear that I wasn’t alone in this – the tree was something of a magnet for spectators, tourists and selfie-snappers.
The blossoms remind me of cherry or plum blossoms, but I wasn’t aware that these grew in New Zealand. I’ve never seen cherries or plums before. But come to think of it, I’ve never seen these particular trees around before either.
Do you know what these beautiful spring trees are?
Let me know in the comments below.
I’ve always been fascinated by the texture of water. Well, I suppose the texture is always the same really, but things can look so different depending on the way the light hits it.
The above was taken while dolphin watching in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand.
The picture below was taken 3 hours from the Brisbane Coast, Australia. (And yes, the stuff that looks like shiny silver pebbles is actually pure ocean water).
I originally posted this pic up with an Instagram filter running through it. On second thought, I still do like the original unedited picture (this one). It’s closer to the magic I felt as I stood there that day, under the autumn trees.
It’s winter now, but the trees are still wearing their autumn colours. In time they must shed these colours and replace them with the fresh green of spring. Yet they remain in a transient state, their aged leaves not yet ready to move on.
Okay, so these aren’t ducks. They’re geese (I think). But they are in a row, and they made several loops of the pond in that same order.
Three friends enjoying a nice day out. Taken in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The moment when darkness meets light, and the afternoon sun sparkles on the water…
No, I’m not dead. I’m just having an unproductive week 😀
I found this beauty on my afternoon walk. I love the heart-shaped leaves.
After snapping the evil eye yesterday, I thought I’d share a nice normal picture 🙂
