A chrysanthemum, some sequins and a deliberately defocused macro lens.

I don’t usually post my mobile phone photography, because my DSLR shots tend to be better quality, but I like the way the colours turned out in this one.
Fun fact: almost all my DSLR photos are unedited, while nearly all my mobile phone photos ARE edited. A DSLR allows for greater creative control, so post-processing is usually unnecessary.

This is my latest abstract painting. I call it “Maria”. Don’t ask me why. The name came to me, and it feels right.

Here are some bokeh trees created with a DSLR camera. I used garden clippings and household items to create these.
The top is a flower stalk and blue sequins against a glittery sweater background.
The bottom is the same, except with some gold sequins thrown in.

It’s been a while since I talked about bokeh trees. I had this idea a while ago, and I wanted to try bringing it to life in three different ways: Canva, Procreate and photography.
I made a post a while ago about the Canva/graphic design route, which produced a dreamy blue result I was happy with.
Now I’ve gone and had a try in Procreate. I’ve drawn bokeh trees. Also, some bokeh dandelion heads.

It didn’t float like a butterfly, but it definitely stung like a bee. The three-tentacled boxer dragon of planet Cerphes was a controversial choice among space pirates. Keep it happy, and enjoy your gold. Make it unhappy, and be buried with it.
You are the rose-bright sun and the speckled moon. You are the rain prism holding petals, the deer with dusk in its eyes. I hold you tight until you are dust. Then every twinkle is your grave, and every smile your ghost.
